In April 2001, Brian Walsh, Foxtel's Director of Television, commissioned Rantan Productions to produce a glossy new series for fx, Foxtel's then dedicated women's channel, to be presented by the face of fx - and Australia's first lady of Television - Maggie Tabberer.

Maggie... At Home With marked the return of fashion icon and best-selling author, Maggie Tabberer to television, after an absence of nearly a decade. One of the most-loved and admired women in Australia, only Maggie could secure the high-profile guests who appear in these stylish and beatifully produced television programmes.

In the first series, which premiered Sunday, October 14, 2001 at 7.30pm, renowned broadcaster and orator, Alan Jones opens his home to Maggie; as do famed artists John Olsen and Tim Storrier. Celebrated fashion designers Harry Who, George Gross, Trent Nathan and the controversial Charlie Brown appear in subsequent episodes - along with Lady (Susan) Renouf, fashion entrepreneur Peter Weiss, celebrity hairdresser Joh Bailey and business entrepreneur, Duncan Mount, owner of the classic, multi-million dollar Sydney harbourside mansion 'Boomerang'.

With hallmark charm and down-to-earth humour, Maggie visits these well-known Aussies, at home, and talks to them about their home, life, work and family. We learn how leaders in the arts, fashion and business have put 'heart' into their homes - how home nurtures their body mind and spirit. Many also discuss frankly with Maggie, little known, sometimes joyous - sometimes difficult aspects of their lives.

An fx original and payTV exclusive, at 7.30 pm on the second Sunday of each month a compelling new episode of Maggie ... At Home With, produced by Rantan Productions, takes viewers into the homes, hearts and minds of successful, well-known Australians.
